The Right Side of the Boat

We are in the octave of Easter and naturally the daily readings are about Jesus’ doings post Resurrection.

You will discover that Full Sail does not believe in coincidences. Here we are, launching a consultancy that believes you can’t separate your faith life from your work life, and BOOM, we get John 21:1-14, “The Appearance to the Seven Disciples.” (Seven is no accident either.)

John’s gospel recounts how the disciples went to work, fishing, and had a bad day at the office. Didn’t catch a thing. Then this guy from shore tells them to cast their net on the right side of the boat. THE RIGHT SIDE. The next thing you know, they are catching more fish than their nets can hold. And with that, they recognize the Risen Lord and you can read the rest. Gotta love Peter.  Into the water he goes.

Point is, following the way of Christ IS the right side of the boat and that is why the disciples had success. The same goes for us in our business dealings. Do the RIGHT things and the results will take care of themselves.

Note to self: Jesus is the best business consultant you can find.
